The premises, fit up for their purpose, were, in 1980, put to the hands of the Association of the museum, just created, which has in charge to manage the Museum and archieve the running of it. The latter rises thanks to the activity of a reduced party made up with the representantives of the “Henri Queuille friendship” and of the whole people of the Resistance Higher-Corrèze AS (Secret Army) and FTP (Francs Tireurs Partisans) actuated by Marcel Barbanceys, the conservator. The activities were unpaid. At last, in 1981, the Museum can open its doors to the first visitors. Finally, in 1995, after 16 years spent as the conservator, Mr Marcel Barbanceys handed the lead off to Marcel Lavaur. The latter, in agreement with the board of directors, in 1998 starts a program to enlarge the Museum including a prospect of extension and restructuration, appealing to modern technics, as well as a campaign of numerisation for archives and collections. |
