1944 June is getting near.

Since 1943 the maquis is harassed

However, its camps being mobile looms a constant canvas of unsafety for the occupant.

But weapons are scarce. In fact, droppings have been scanty.
If some are to be noticed in 1943, it is in 1944 that arms arrive from the sky.
The landing on June, 6th 1944 makes events quicker.
The maquis of La Courtine succeeds in making GMR join them.
It is attempted to make German garrisons surrender.
The garrison of Mareges, surrounded by the maquis on June 6th will be freed on the 14th by a German column coming from Clermont ; but Mareges will be set free without any damage to the structures.
On june 9th, the garrison of Ussel, after a short fighting puts itself under the protection of the 1er Régiment de France, a Vichy’s unit.
On june 10th , the germans slaughter 47 maquis boys in front of the Ecole Primaire Supérieure of Ussel.
